It's like one of those "art films" where nothing makes sense, that have no real story etc. and yet they say there is a message, that has nothing to do with anything seen in the film at all.

The message is obviously how our suppressive society is forcing people to do things detrimental to their own person in order to "fit in" with the rest. Roughly said.

In this particular flash, the guy(a person) has to smile(act of being part of the grou) because a group of people(society) want him to, and he is punished(looked down upon) because he is not compliant.
Also, really old flash, but i loved it.
