kirpi46: I need more of this staff.... I made this as my desktop background and screen-saver <3 :-) (October 5, 2013, 10:17 pm)

megamagicmonkey: Excellent visuals and use of Elder Scrolls music. This one is the night time theme for Morrowind, right? (October 5, 2013, 10:20 pm)

Derpeeeee: No, I think this is from Oblivion. (October 5, 2013, 10:22 pm)

anon: yes it's from Oblivion it's a part from Auriel's Ascension (October 5, 2013, 11:58 pm)

Anonymous: Fun fact: the original image was animated by hardware palette rotation. Imagine paint-by-colors where every pixel is a number that translates to a specific color in the palette. Instead of a fixed key where 1=green, 1 is changed over time from green to black to green again, creating the illusion of movement -- the pixels themselves do not change, but the palette does. And there's only 256 numbers to pick from. It was an extremely efficient hack. The program only had to change 256 bytes instead of hundreds of kilobytes each frame to animate an image. The scary part is that the animations had to be hand-crafted, pixel by pixel. (October 6, 2013, 1:50 am)

DarkPsy: #5 Dude, your humor sucks. (October 6, 2013, 11:13 am)

ernonymous: #5 that's actually how monitors work.. each pixel uses binary (or whatever higher level representation) for each color, it takes 3~ ms for modern monitors to change pixel color (February 2, 2014, 6:10 pm)
