Song
The song's Misirlou. It's an old Turkish/Greek traditional song. Black-Eyed Peas did sample it in their song Pump It, and ( ... ) Dale And His Del-Tones did a surfer rock instrumental cover of it, though he spelt it Miserlou (the original has lyrics in Greek and Arabic), but it's been around for centuries. No one knows who composed it, but it was first performed in 1927 by Michalis Patrinos's band. The song's name is the Greek word for a Muslim Egyptian woman.

Famous "Misirlou" is an old greek rebetiko song....this is the original version from Mike Patrinos from 1930. The word Misirli in turkish means girl from Egypt. The song refers to a cross-faith, cross-race, relationship, a risqué subject at its time. Enjoy!!!
