Long and tedious, even for an RPG, Using your best attacks will only ( ... ) you over later when you have no MP, since these ( ... )ups don't stop at a town untill they've traversed over 9000 dungeons, even basic enemies have the ability to hurt both of you at once, and stocking up on potions will only make fights drag on longer once you've inevitably run out of MP.

Also, special attacks are stupid.

and basic dynamic is pretty boring as well, Fighter and Healer, Oooh, never seen that one before.

Fighter looks like a stoned loser, and Healer Girlfriend looks pudgy with her open-lower shirt, doesn't work with the weeaboo cutesy animoo style of everything. Just makes her look fat.
