Story makes it terrible, "hurr the enemy is capable of manufacturing a bomb with enough power to destroy an entire planet and the ability to move faster than the speed of light, yet can't defend it against a single manned hovercraft whose only mode of attack is to hurl itself at its enemies. Also: while we are capable of building ships with faster than light travel (as evidenced by us being a couple thousand light years from Earth) we are unable to make our hovercraft remotely controlled."
