If you were saying this video is bad for enabling their wankery then I might be willing to agree with you. However, I can't COMPLETELY demerit a piece of animation based on its subject matter alone. A lot of work clearly went into it. It's not any more a waste than some wacky original animu vid would be. I also resent the attitude that no Touhou fanwork (possibly the series itself?) can be good because weird losers flock to it. Anything that you find amusing or interesting has internet wankers swarming to it. One thing they cannot do, however, is foul that thing up. Their activity is always self-contained. I have gazed into the abyss and seen the laughably bad, the offensively bad, and the vomit-inducingly bad. But there's also the good, rare as it may be. While this may fall into the "inoffensively dorkish" category, I'll take this over something like Walfas and co. any day because whoever made it at least GAVE A SHIT. I respect effort is all. The animation itself is pretty damn good, but sadly, it just seems... wasted, and confined to just touhou. Which is also why I hate that it's just about touhou. If it were, say, an anime montage... then I'd most likely 5 it, because then the artist is doing a variety of styles as well. But it doesn't. There seems to be a lot of raging going on in the comments, and I didn't quite read them through, but if I were to give my honest opinion, I would have to say that the video is kind of boring overall, and that the music feels as though it was simply "slapped" onto the animation. Despite those opinions of mine, I have to say that this piece of work is incredibly well-drawn and animated. It looks like it could've been ripped from a high quality anime series. I just don't think that the music and the video goes very well with eachother, which is a shame =/ 4/5, though it had the potential to be the best touhou video on dagobah. (June 1, 2010, 5:29 pm)

D: Unlike what people think, this wasn't just a one minor "for fun" Touhou flash originally. This thing was released on a DVD, and contained 4 songs, this one being one of 'em. So you could say it was a bit more professional "fan art", similar to those IOSYS stuff and the Touhou movie, but on a different level. (June 4, 2010, 12:10 pm)
