It wasn't a good use of the talent of the guys behind this animation, sure, but it's not that bad.

Steelix being a mix of steel/ground is weak against Fighting type, so the Lucario can pwn it, but it takes 1/2 damage from dark and normal damage from ice, the Sneasel shouldn't be able to really damage it that much.

This looks exactly like some other animation I've seen... I think it had two japanese style cat characters fighting against monsters.
