You can hold E to drag his corpse to the ship, that's how it's supposed to work.

I spammed 4 and 5 back and forth for instant reload on rockets and plasma cannon, stood there shooting for about 2 minutes, and nothing. It has to be killed by the door and that faggot has to die.
