But there is sequal to the original Higurashi no Naku Koroni (or how ever you wan't to write it, I looked that from ANN), Higurashi no Naku Koroni Kai. Can't say much about either 'cause haven't watch the original completely and haven't even started the sequal.

For a really compelling series...

I even endured the loli overdose for it, it was really a little masterpiece, as a team of young people created higurashi originally as a autoproduced doujin game...
