Jeez, the Japanese will make an anime about anything.
The believe appears to be that even really really ridiculously boring tabletop games that are mostly enjoyed by elderly people are suddenly entertaining with the addition of loli. People actually like this? Even though the subject could be changed to practically anything? It could be lolis playing Uno or Boggle and it would be virtually the same thing.

#12 Mahjong isn`t boring, if you have the luck to learn and enjoy with some friends it is really fun. This game is low-paced, so you can play it while having a chat and some snacks, things that are hard to do if you are playing cards, or others board games.
Japanese make anime of everything, chinese copy every famous trademark, koreans makes MMO`s of everything, and americans makes superheroes of everything. What is your problem about investing in anime? They could make another ninja/magic/robot anime, but they made of a unpopular game among the westerns (well, most only know how to play the match pairs version for pc).
