You know what else is bullshit? HDCP, freshly implemented in the new generation of gaming consoles. Before a HDCP video source will share its output with another device, it will first establish whether the destination device is also HDCP compliant. What this means is that the manufacturer has paid a pile of money to the HDCP committee and promised that their device will not make copies of the video or share it with other devices.

The end result is that you cannot make legal backup copies of your media, Fair Use is not possible, and people who make recordings of video game and movie footage (LPers, reviewers, etc) are SOL.

Now that's bullshit.
