i dont get flash
how comes this relatively "cheap on effects" flash gives me crap fps when the intense flash shoter games doesnt...i can run Crysis on very high @1680x1050 with a solid 30-40fps...but not a ( ... )ing flash?

Someone, please tell me how flash works!

Maybe it doesn't use your hi-tech graphics card and creates the effect with CPU? Not sure, haven't studied but I'd guess so.

someone wiseass know-it-all is gonna troll me for this, but..

flash pretty much moves predrawn pictures, or replace them. Thus, you get keyframed, or frame-by-frame animation... your flashplayer plug-in will render this realtime (I think)

however, sometimes these pictures are not the slightest compressed in quality (neither pixels or colour amount) This qauses the calculations your flash plug-in to become ( ... )ING HEAVY, thus bigass CPU usage.

I think that's about it...
