LordJebe: Insta 5'd for Samurai Jack. (July 24, 2009, 7:28 pm)

TheCancer: Actually kinda hard :/ (July 24, 2009, 7:57 pm)

Anonymous: The hit detection is bad, enemies spawn right on top of you without warning, at times it's hard to tell the difference between the playing field and background, the magma in the Aku rises before you have a chance to jump to the platforms, and all too often avoiding damage is a matter of luck and mashing spacebar. It can be won however. (July 24, 2009, 10:53 pm)

Anonymous: *Aku battle* (July 24, 2009, 10:54 pm)

Anonymous: Also, JPEG ARTIFACTS. (July 24, 2009, 11:07 pm)

Anon: I was hoping for a mashup between Code Geass and Samurai Champloo :( (July 25, 2009, 12:15 am)

Anonymous: Weapon codes: Justice : shield : invulnerability while held Purity : bomb : damages all enemies, but very slow Compassion : sword arm : slow mid-range attack Courage : throwing stars : fast long-range attack Valor : morning star : mid-range attack Honor : arrows : slow long-range attack (July 25, 2009, 10:29 am)

There are many types, or genres, of these game. To name just few of them: role-playing games, shooters, first-person shooters, side-scrollers, and platformers. Online games can be played with your browser. You don't need to install anything to play Code_of_the_samurai.swf. Online gaming is a technology rather than a genre; a mechanism for connecting players together rather than a particular pattern of gameplay. Flash allows a much higher level of complexity in on-line games. It frequently allows players to use a wide variety of weapons and objects, and can supply much more detailed maps and settings.
As consoles are becoming more like computers, online gameplay is expanding. The first online game console was the Super Famicom, which offered an online service with the Satellaview. This service was however offered only in Japan. Once online games started crowding the market, open source networks, such as the PlayStation 2, Dreamcast, Xbox and Nintendo GameCube took advantage of online functionality with its PC game counterpart. Games such as Phantasy Star Online have private servers that function on multiple consoles. Dreamcast, PC, Macintosh and GameCube players are able to share one server. Earlier games, like 4x4 Evolution, Quake III and Need for Speed: Underground also have a similar function with consoles able to interact with PC users using the same server. Usually, a company like Electronic Arts or Sega runs the servers until it becomes inactive, in which private servers with their own DNS number can function. This form of open source networking has a small advantage over the new generation of Sony and Microsoft consoles which customize their servers to the consumer.
